My Journey with the World Boxing Council (WBC): A Vision for Boxing’s Growth and Future.

How I Joined the World Boxing Council (WBC)

In 2006, I took my first step towards a career in boxing by enrolling in the WBC University. This decision laid the foundation for my deep connection with the World Boxing Council. In 2009, I officially became a WBC member and received invaluable mentorship that helped shape my understanding of the sport and its global impact.

From WBC Member to Training Sector Supervisor

In 2011, I rejoined the WBC, this time taking on the role of a worker and training sector supervisor. This position allowed me to actively participate in WBC programs, further develop my skills, and contribute to the growth of boxing. From 2011 to 2013, I honed my leadership abilities while attending key programs and events that would define my future in the boxing world.

Expanding My Role: Strengthening Ties with the WBC in Latin America

In 2020, I made a pivotal move by traveling to Latin America to establish a direct line of communication with the WBC. This experience expanded my membership and engagement with the organization, marking a key moment in my career. It also gave me the opportunity to participate in important WBC conventions, where future plans and roles were determined by the board.

Becoming a WBC Commissioner: A Major Milestone

In 2023, I achieved a significant milestone by being appointed as a WBC Commissioner, a position I continued to hold in 2024 and am proud to serve in during 2025. As a commissioner, I have been involved in overseeing major boxing events, ensuring the integrity of the sport, and driving positive change within the global boxing community.

Boxing as a Path to Financial Empowerment

In 2010, I recognized the powerful financial potential boxing offers, not only for individual athletes but for entire countries. This realization fueled my desire to bring professional boxing to Bangladesh, where I saw an opportunity to help grow the sport. After years of planning, in 2017, I began laying the groundwork to bring this vision to life. By 2020, I fully committed to building a robust boxing culture in Bangladesh.

Over 20 Boxing Events in Latin America: My Impact as a WBC Commissioner

As a WBC Commissioner, I have had the honor of organizing and overseeing over 20 events in Latin America. These events have played a critical role in advancing the sport and increasing its visibility in the region. My leadership in these events helped to solidify boxing’s position as a growing global sport, expanding its audience and creating more opportunities for athletes worldwide.

The Future of Boxing in Bangladesh and Beyond

Looking ahead, my journey with the WBC is far from over. With the continued support of the WBC, I aim to further elevate boxing in Bangladesh and around the world. As the sport grows, I remain committed to providing opportunities for athletes and contributing to the financial empowerment that boxing offers to both individuals and nations.

Conclusion: A Legacy of Dedication to Boxing

From my early days at WBC University to my current role as a commissioner, my career has been shaped by passion, hard work, and a relentless drive to see boxing flourish globally. As I continue my work with the WBC, I am excited about the future of boxing and its potential to transform lives in Bangladesh and beyond.
