My Journey with UBC: From Its Origins to a Vision for the Future.

How I Joined UBC

My journey with the Universal Boxing Council (UBC) began in 2000, when I first engaged with the organization online. At that time, UBC operated from Rome, Italy, making it challenging to collaborate effectively. Despite the difficulties, I remained committed to working with UBC. Unfortunately, due to internal issues, the organization ceased all its activity in 2014.

Rebuilding UBC: A New Era Begins

After years of inactivity, we successfully reestablished UBC in 2020. This time, it became fully operational in Latin America and began expanding into small areas of Asia. The revival of UBC marked a significant milestone, as it once again started playing a key role in the global boxing community.

Becoming the General Secretary of UBC

In 2021, UBC invited me to participate in an election for the position of General Secretary. The election took place in 2022, where representatives from different countries cast their votes both online and offline. I was honored to be elected as the General Secretary of UBC, a position I will hold for the next six years.

With UBC now connected to 117 countries, my role involves overseeing international boxing activities, strengthening partnerships, and expanding the organization’s reach.

A Vision for UBC: Establishing the Headquarters in Bangladesh

Since UBC was the first boxing organization I was involved with, it holds a special place in my journey. My long-term mission and vision are to establish the UBC headquarters in Bangladesh. However, achieving this goal requires strong government support. If successful, this move would elevate Bangladesh’s status in the international boxing community and create new opportunities for athletes and boxing professionals.

Looking Ahead: The Future of UBC

UBC has grown into a globally recognized organization, and I am committed to expanding its influence even further. With 117 countries already connected, the next step is to strengthen its presence in Asia and bring more structured opportunities to boxers worldwide. As we continue to grow, I remain focused on making UBC a platform for the development of boxing on a global scale.
